Beyond Trauma

Editorial illustrations for an essay titled Beyond Trauma by a Kazakh culturologist Zira Nauryzbay for ADAMDAR/CA. The essay discusses the connections between generational historical traumas of the past and the tragic events of the Bloody January 2022 in Kazakhstan. Zira reflects how these collective traumas of both the past and the present affect the lives of the contemporary Kazakhstani society and some possible ways of collective healing.
